Describe the university of Tennessee in one word: Innovative
What excites you the most about being a Peer Mentor? I am excited to be able to communicate the struggles and successes that I have faced throughout my journey as a volunteer; by equipping others with the knowledge and tools needed to succeed where I failed, and soar where I succeeded.
Why do you think FYS 101 courses are important? FYS 101 courses help incoming students form connections with others, and provide substantial advice to help make one's freshman year an easy transition into college; by setting a foundation for their success in years to come.
What is your favorite activity to do in Knoxville? In Knoxville, I enjoy socializing with friends at campus events/gathings and exploring historical downtown Knox.
What is your go-to snack food? My go-to snack is the White Cheddar Cheez-Its.
Give your best piece of advice for first-year students: Make sure that you become inVOLved with at least one club/organization on campus. The University of Tennessee has over 500 different clubs/organizations, and if you can't find one that intrigues your interests; you can form your own! When you get involved, you are prone to enjoy college significantly more and make friendships that will last a lifetime!
