What excites you the most about being a Peer Mentor? Getting to meet and build relationships with so many new people! Reflecting back on my freshman year, I am so thankful for my FYS instructor and peer mentor to guide me through all of the college-y things (I am a first general college student, so I was extra clueless). I’m so excited to be that person for others and follow out the Volunteer Creed.
Why do you think FYS 101 courses are important? There are SO many things, big and small, that comes with being in college. It makes it easier when there are amazing people guiding you through your first year and dishing out all the advice they can give!
What is your favorite activity to do in Knoxville? Planet XChange (Best Thrift Store Ever!)
What is your go-to snack food? Almonds
Give your best piece of advice for first-year students: Figure out how to use your meal plan! Be smart with your dining dollars and utilize the dining halls - I made some great friends and created amazing memories there!
