Describe the university of Tennessee in one word: Opportunity

What excites you the most about being a Peer Mentor? Getting to know the first year students and seeing them go through their “firsts”. I’m reminded of my freshman year in the best ways!

Why do you think FYS 101 courses are important? Not only for meeting new people in the same position as you, but getting to connect to an older student and staff that genuinely care about your success.

What is your favorite activity to do in Knoxville? Going to World’s Fair Park and Fort Dickerson Quarry with my roommates and dogs!

What is your go-to snack food? Cereal!

Give your best piece of advice for first-year students: Don’t be afraid to talk to anyone. It’s so much easier said than done, but talk to anyone and everyone! Even if the conversation didn’t go as planned, you most likely won’t have to see that person again!
