José began working in higher education here at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2016. He began his career as a One Stop Counselor within the Division of Enrollment Management and then moved on to serve as a Financial Aid Counselor. In April 2019, José joined the Division of Student Success as an Academic Success Advocate where he worked with Academic Alert and Case Management. Now, José serves as an Assistant Director leading TRNS 201 and two summer programs, Math Camp and Involve.
