DNA tests are sold as opportunities to learn about your ethnic identity, athletic potential, and disease risk. But how seriously should you take these claims? Can you learn something of value about yourself from your DNA? Should you be worried about genetic profiling by corporations or the government? We’ll take a critical look at the technology, statistical analysis, and underlying assumptions of the DNA testing industry.
